Workshop

In the lead up to Lunar New Year, join our free workshop to explore the Satellites online archive of Aotearoa Asian art and also view rare materials from the Alexander Turnbull Library. Share your ideas and help shape the archive. Perfect for artists, students, educators, and researchers. Be part of something special!

Learn about collection and curation

In this workshop, you will learn about different approaches to collection and curation at the Alexander Turnbull Library and Satellites’ new online archive of Aotearoa Asian art.

Through hands-on activities and a special viewing of Turnbull collection highlights, you’ll discover how these archives come to life through contributions from people like you — artists, students, educators, researchers, and anyone with a passion for Aotearoa Asian art.

Help shape the Satellites digital archive

The Satellites online archive of Aotearoa Asian art is an ever-evolving resource and a work in progress. At this workshop, we’ll create fresh connections and invite you to suggest new pathways through the archive.

Bring a device

Don’t forget to bring a device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop) to explore the archive. We look forward to seeing you there!
