Workshop
Join UK-based producer Ruby Glaskin for a discussion on producing queer work and establishing international connections. With 13 years of experience in producing queer performance, Ruby will share tips and knowledge covering various aspects:
- Where to tour queer work in the UK and beyond
- How to build connections with venues, producers, and artists in the UK and internationally
- Constructing international touring budgets and exploring financing options for global work
- Incorporating care and advocacy into your touring plans and budgets
- Q&A session addressing any queries queer artists may have about getting their work produced and touring
This workshop is limited to 8 people.
ABOUT
Ruby Glaskin is an independent producer specialising in queer performance, artist development & international exchange. Ruby is co-founder & Executive Producer of Milk Presents, one the UK’s leading queer performance companies. With Milk Presents, Ruby has produced numerous national & international tours of award-winning queer theatre, artist development programmes, podcasts, club nights and advocacy & training.
Ruby proudly led In Good Company, the East Midlands flagship development programme, for four years, and works regularly with Raze Collective, Scottee & Friends & London Artist Projects. She currently works as a consultant for Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, leading their Swiss Connection UK programme designed to connect Swiss artists to the UK arts scene. She's previously worked with Annie Siddons, Offstage Theatre, Punchdrunk, Reed Woolley, Escalator East & The Living Theatre.
