Fundraiser for Palestinian artists

Compilation of photographs of six prize bundles

Win one of six incredible prize bundles (you can find details about each work and the donating artists below)

INFO

We are raising money for artists and arts initiatives in Palestine — to support the protection, preservation, and flourishing of Palestinian culture, something that is at real risk.

To do that, we’re working with the Palestinian Arts and Culture Solidarity Collective (PACSOC), who are aiming to raise $100,000 globally by the end of the year to support artists in Palestine. As one of their partners, our target is to raise at least $15,000 towards this goal.

All funds raised will be distributed by the Owneh Initiative: a coalition of Palestinian arts and civil society organisations working to strengthen Palestinian civil society by rejecting funding from those who are complicit in the genocide and whose support comes with political conditions that conflict with their anti-colonial struggle.

Through this fundraiser, you’ll support Palestinian artists, storytellers, and makers — and an entire way of seeing and thinking about the world.

DETAILS

Six winners will be drawn from the central ticket pool.

There is a limit of 1800 tickets for this raffle! You can enter as many times as you wish. Prizes must be shipped within Aotearoa.

Up to 1,800 tickets (numbered 1–1800) will be issued for this raffle, with each ticket costing $25 or 5 tickets for $100.

The total value of the prize pool is $19,000.

All funds raised will be donated to the Owneh Initiative via Freemuse, an independent international non-governmental organisation advocating for freedom of artistic expression and cultural diversity. Freemuse has United Nations Special Consultative Status to the Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) and Consultative Status with UNESCO.

The raffle runs from 29 November 2024 — 16 December 2024.

Winners will be selected randomly in a live draw on Tue 17 Dec at 8.00pm on Satellites’ Instagram (@aksatellites). Winners will be contacted directly, with the results posted on the Satellites Instagram page.

If a winner does not respond by 17 March 2025, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.

Raffle organisers (Rosabel Tan and Emma Ng) and official draw overseer (Harry Evans) are not eligible to enter the raffle.
